Although it is difficult to describe, the bond of sisterhood is a common light that burns passionately in each member of the Alpha Epsilon chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta. With a network of sisters spanning across the globe, our members find comfort in knowing that the Theta family extends further than our own university. Many women join sororities knowing that it is a great way to meet a large group of women, but few understand the impact that these women will have on our lives both during and after college.
There are so many shared experiences that create the foundation for lifelong friendships within our chapter. From social events to study dates to movie nights, the bond between members becomes stronger each day. Because sisterhood is valued greatly in Kappa Alpha Theta, we try to incorporate as many sisterhood events as our busy schedules will allow. Some of these include question and answer sessions for new members, trivia nights, roller skating events, movie nights, catered dinners, and end of the year parties!
Aside from the planned events, there are countless opportunities to build lifelong friendships with the members of the Alpha Epsilon chapter each and every day. There is always someone to study with, cuddle up on Monday nights for the Bachelorette with, or even go on late night food runs with. Theta truly is a home away from home and is much more than just the “college experience.” The values and experiences members have gained from Theta will last a lifetime, and we take pride in such a strong sisterhood. Our Pref Night Video of 2016, graciously made by two of our members Cari Bonilla and Isabella Olea, does a great job showing the genuine feelings of sisterhood and friendship we all share.
